hot hands

finished bryson's "notes from a big country" funny, tidy and very readable without being too engaging or thought provoking. First book read in ages, im so fucking lazed at the moment. I got a new pair of hiking boots yesterday and have been wearing them about the house to the shops etc and they feel very confortable. They are Meindl Borneo Pro MFS. I had to get some volume adjusters as my feet are wierd and "low volume". Wow just downloaded the Bjork Breazeblock and startup listening is fine!!!
Hot hands: over the last week I have been suffering from hot hands, only in the evenings when I've been trying to get off to sleep, the cold walls help but it is really fucking annoying.

RIP John Peel

Very sad day. John Peel music radio's finest great died of massive heart attack while on holiday in Peru. He was the true master. He had it all, enormous love of music and playing it sharing it with the people and helping the people discover new different great and not-great music that they would never ever have had the chance to experience without John Peel. For me John Peel was was the anti of what corporate stands for, the anti of what else mainstream radio plays and before there I heard John Peel music was a very shallow place. Where else would I hear happy hardcore, nosebleed thrash metal, some shit by the wedding present, melt bananna, nina nistasia... etc... you get the picture. Also very funny as a grumpy old bloke on BBCradio4's home truths, mostly always funny and definitely stories always bursting to be told, the family the wife and the kids and the acres of records waiting to be played. Very sad day.

today: had medical at addenbrookes for gsk clinical trials, first ever blood sample taken, and an ECG too. Hooked with GT3 stayed up till 330 last night playing it after getting back from Sandhurst. I travelled to the Parents on Sunday went for excellent walk in the Chilterns nr Henley. 7 miles very hilly good very. Nanny and Grandpa came round for cake and T. With Mum and Dad went out to dinner was very nice. Monday went to look at walking boots, didnt get any didnt see any I really liked. Really useless old dears in one shop didnt have a clue about boots, and didnt like serving people.

speachless

history made last night. Boston continued their astonishing comeback of all time after being 3-0 down in the ALCS to win in 7 beating the Yankees 10-3 last night. Also in baseball: the Cards forced game 7 after beating the Astros in 12inns 6-4 last night.
The Matrix is such an immense film. It was on last night and I never tire of seeing it, its fantastic.

116

juggling: 40 mins, not in a juggling mood but its good to get some practising in anwho. First time in months actually counted catches (with no music) and with 5 balls I got 116catches. My left hand felt really spammy tonight and also the cascade was wonky to the right hand side. This feat didnt really feel out of the ordinary and I am very confident that I can improve upon my present record of 130catches.

Recieved my volunteer Ranger application form in the post today and spent most of the day reading the info and also thinking about what I am going to put as the reason why I want to become a Volunteer Ranger. Its been a long time since uni and actually writing essay style answers is a skill that I am very loose with currently. I've been making notes and with practise it will become an easier task to complete the application form!

Yankees pegged back again! Boston levelled the game in the 9th and won in the 14th, fucking bastards. Now its 3-2 in the ALCS best of seven. The cunts attempt to take on the Yankees in game Six tonight from 2010 EST (0010 GMT)

ice

fucking Red Socks beat the Yankees last night, jammy bastards: they levelled in the 9th and won in the 12th. Game 5 is now on, Boston are up 2-1 top of the 6th with the bases loaded (yankees batting).
Spoke with mum, Ive arranged to go home this weekend (its my b'day on Sunday), they have a party sat night for their friends so Im thinking of travelling down there on sunday morning. Gonna check times of trains in a hot minute. Got their postcard (sent from their hols in france 2 weeks ago), and a letter! In this hyperatomic age getting a letter is a rare rarity rich and highly welcome. From my friend in Southampton. :)

walking

2 walks, one 6miles the other 4miles. First was good walk over undulating ground rained hard for about 10 mins, good walk. Rachel has finally bought the house she had placed an offer on (owner finally agreed to sell after months of indecision) so it's our last walk till whenever she has moved into her new house and done whatever work she is planning to do. Get back to the start and sit on the bench on the green then drive the 5odd miles to the start of the second walk. This walk was very flat over fenland but not uninteresting, I was quite tired after halfway and although walking was still routine talking and other thinking was not. Thank fuck I was not map reading etherwise we'd have been seriously fucking lost! I actually took some photos of the walk, there was a really friendly cat which we found difficulty in leaving on the first walk and some sheep and other such farmland wildlife, only the one pheasant this day - god I hate pheasants. Apparently they're nice on the dinner plate, something I'd love to try.
Brainstorming for ideas for my website atm.
Earlier I watched Himalaya which was actally very good, lots of mountains which is nice! He climbs to base camp of two mountains the latter being Everest. Magnificant scenery when he's in Tibet and for that matter all the way through this edition. The Yankees thrashed the Red Socks 19-8, do I stay up and watch game 4 tonight? Inter won 3-1 with Adriano scorring 2 goals.

animal

juggling: 2hrs outside with clubs. doing triples, doubles, mills mess, reverse cascade and some work on 2 in 2 hands on doubles. had a go at 3 club shower on triples v.diff atm.

i get up when I like

Positivity - Im deep depressed at the moment, not having a job is not fun very boring and the lack of money is the fucking nightmare of it all. I registered with that job agency (mentioned a couple of days ago) thought about registering with the doll office but pushed it away at the last moment, its the last resort and I don't want to go there quite yet :) Im the GT3 god, completed 3 licenses almost 4 but theres an incredibly tricky circular wet track that just cannot crack.
pissed it down with rain most of today. In eve watched the excellent Green Wing and the okay French and Saunders while trying in vain to complete the rainy circle test in GT3. There are so many birthdays this week! My friend Rachel (weds gone), Ellie (Thurs gone) flatmate Adam (today) and my grandpa (this sunday). My birthday is a week sunday. What an excellent month to have been born! The third game of the ALCS starts in 15 mins although its not on TV and im way too tired to stay up, it being 5hrs ahead of EDT here. The Cards have stretched to 2-0 against the Astros after winning last night 6-4.

fuckin

disjointed writing now possible while coherent writing of flavour and fullness without my grasp upon it currently. Is the mind such a fickle thing so as to rise back again and get back into old modes and allow the flow of creative thought onto page oncemore without fucking shit coming out too? Without talking meeting people the latter has fallen into disrepute withering away backinto the depths where it was before talking ever happened and creativity was not an option. I am finding it incredibly difficult to write an email to a friend of mine without the ringing of boredom sounding in my eyes as it is a long time since I have written a creative passage with use other than to express the numbness that I have been feeling. I need therefore to spend ages and aeons upon the improvement of something that is so shit that I cannot even be bothered to remember to you. Yet, tonight is late and I am tired. Tomorrow is another still warm day (although cold is in the very air of this night) yet unwriten and awaiting my presence, perhaps in the morning I shall be more inspired to write more creatively of more interesting semblances.

did a bit of juggling tonight, nothing much just a few practice backcrosses with 2 balls then watched nature prog on cheetas and another on Tawney owls, then some other shit. Recieved in post my app for volunteering in clinical research which I filled in and sent off sharpish. Apparently it takes at least 3 weeks before they've checked with one's doctor before one can take part in the research. Last night I watched game 2 of the ALCS upto the top of the 7th Red Socks vs. Yankees at 3-0 to the Yankees... soo tired at that stage went to the zzz's Yankees won to advance to 2-0 in this 7 game series. The Cards won their game too, they are 1-0 against the Astros. Completed the Normal Arcade Mode of Grand Tourismo 3 - the final levels are really fucking hard. Ive done 3 on Hard which is incredibly fucking almightly nasty. Advantage of completion of groups of tracks in Normal and Hard is that one gets more faster better cars. I need to become a master of the really fast cars before I can progress very far on Hard.

ach

yest: 1hr juggling inside, 45 mins juggling clubs outside. also I went into town got 3 birthday cards and went swimming! I did 50 lengths of breastroke in 30 mins. Looked in job agencies windows, they're closed on the weekends, some jobs. I've found a perfect job: park ranger. How to get this job?
today: 1 hr juggling inside.

Walk based at Horseheath on rd between Linton and Haverhill. Long walk got lost often, strong wind, absent farmer's field paths, pink map and current walking guide book. Favorite quote "follow obvious path" hmmm, that's really helpful when theres a big field and no paths in sight. Spoke to Mum tonight, they had a great holiday in the S of France 2 weeks in fact. App there was a post card in the post but not got it yet, fucking postie eats post the bastard.

yesterday

Juggling: after the one hour juggling in the garden in the sunny blusters, in the evening I did an hour of balls in the house. concentrated mainly on 5 and 4.
Other:getting back into Grand Tourismo 3 after housemate acquired it and started playing on it. App there's a new one out soon. I'm #1 in the first 18 races on the arcade mode on easy, there's 34 before one gets to the goal. Its brilliantly sunny atm so I'm gonna stop there.

blowey

just back from 1hr juggling clubs in the garden. Blue crystal skies interlaced with dark dark black clouds and some beautiful white crispy clouds too. By the end it was getting very windy which was not good for high throws and doubles which I was concentration upon. It was good to be out in the outside juggling as I havent done such since the summer, probably two months ago. gmail has added a new feature that puts a desktop feature that tells one when one has gmail in their account, ace!

thursday

hmmm. well I made an excellent apple crumble out of the end season apples grown in our garden and promptly ate most of it last night, the rest for brekki this morning, mmm. 1 hour juggling last night too, lots of 5 and also 4ball out and inside throws assyn and also syn. Finished my CV put it on my site. I'll have to go into town and register with some agencies in the next couple of days.

inv-rev-4ball

Juggling: 1hr. 4ball rev-assyn 30x4=120 NR. 5ball + transitions into/outof 441mess.
Life: A blanket day doing shit all other than the writing of my CV (almost finished now).

onehudredandtwenty

1hr juggling, fealt really great. Recently very bored with 5ball cascade so have moved onto 3balls again. left shower 71 left throws is a NR, stuggling to get over 40 but changed balls to loose oldskool balls and straight away was at 71. Did 441 mess too, and lots of playin aboot.

For the rest of today Ive been doing website stuff. Trying to make a template for my current fotographs (and also for future ones - create the template, add the pictures: have album, nice!). DW is good at generating the thumbs, the main page (shit mainpage), and navigation between pictures (s'okay, nothing special). The t-nail gen is it's best feature but one cannot specify the order that the pictures are placed in the navigation which is my major gripe atm. Might try that google download photo album gen tool :piscasa.

Chek this -> The best site on the net?

hrumphhh?!

1 hour juggling , its now too late as the housemates are tucked into bed to juggle any more tonight although I do feel like it right now. Christ the money is really low, just paid the rent and have very not much wonger in the pot any more time to job myself up. Getting myself organised, drawn up a nice plan of action for the next couple of days. Just redone my geocities page, minimalist style, I shall put my CV there once I have finished it as a backup if I cannot get the printer working pronto. Its cold and late and im tired.

tyred

walked 11miles with hills v.good walk based at Turvey, west of Bedford on the A428. Weather getting worse as we finished but by that stage it didnt matter, great second half of the walk very undulating max height of 103m. Saw lots of wildlife: Deer, Barn Owl, Pheasants, robin.
When back I did the loop (w/o speedo - i forgot to mount it on the ride) but not fast: back tire almost locked to the back brakes as i slid it back into the door so I guess that this took a lot of speed out of me, oh and the walk in the morning! 2 blisters from the walk not affecting the biking though! Wet and windy for the latter.
Filled in one of the boxes (see top left) and also changed the link back to main from archive entries [now press on the "flashgun" and return to home page] but blogger is very slow atm stopping me from doing any more edits other than those mentioned above.
Man, im tired. Long day.

deadwood

Deadwoods becoming my favorite tv show, up there with 6 feet under and The Green Wing.
Did two loops of cycling: one of the usual this afternoon (19.7mph) and this morning an extended loop into the windy day with lots of traffic lights and traffic ~5.7 miles in 17.2mph time. This is good. I think that there needs to be a route with no traffic lights, no chance for a breather just kaning it all the way and longer too, with a hill or two into the mix. This means I have to go somewhere first but that's good for a warmup. Now I need to fix my bike and get some warmer clothes for winter biking. Or bike training which I've just recieved an email about - never tried it before although the folks do it and say its hard work, really hard work but they're not as fit as me?! At least the lung burst that I had yesterday is not affecting me: just coughing up lots of flegm: lovely!
No juggling today, arms and mind in need of a rest. Plan to go to juggling club tomorrow though.

saturday morning

yesterday: 1.5 hours juggling. In the morning I got on my bike and did the loop (4.44miles) and it absolutely killed me, I was going fast keeping fast all the way average of about 18.2mph, by the time I got back my lungs and the bottom of my throat were on fire totally un(bike)fit I now know that I am it was good to get out on the bike once again. I still need to repair the rear wheel (rebuild perhaps) before I restart going on the Sunday rides. I met Sean in a pub in Grantchester for lunch, I cycled there too, still as unfit as earlier in the day although the 2 pints of ale aided cycle back was much more achievable. Sean is over in the UK for business and arrived in the morning driving up from Heathrow in an incredible time of 75 mins (it usually takes at least 120 mins) and we arranged to meet before he heads off to the Grandparents in the afternoon. The pub was the Green Man and served fine ales and great food. It was good to see him too, invited me over to the USA which I am seriously tempted with. I haven't been over there sinse before my placement in 2001, and that's way too long for me!
When non-USA citizans arrive in the USA now they have their fingerprint and photograph taken. What the fuck?

Currently listening to. Updated whenever I can be arsed to do so.

boxes

1.5 hours juggling. 148x4 best record (4-ball assyn fountain outwards) in ages, tantilisingly close to 150 but I was very happy with this nonetheless not pissed off at being so close - I was tired by the end of it and also relieved to have got sooo many catches. System of a Down "toxicity" is brilliant juggling music!
Was feeling very down earlier, now feeling much better - I think the webediting and juggling did the trick! Added some boxes to this site's layout, am going to be putting some things in them shortly.
Im meeting Sean (my uncle) tomorrow in Granchester and I need to get an early start in tomorrow, and by going by recent gettup times I need to make all my alarm clocks strike for me to get up. I am soo awake at the moment! Another thing that I hate about this blogger thingy: I cannot make the distance between the top of the "Big Andy's Joint" banner and the searchengine any bigger, also the search engine is really annoying. If I have to have it on my page then at least let me put it at the bottom away from initial viewage. Still, I cannot really grumble as Blogger is really an excellent thing.

October

Maan it's October already. This month I shall: Get a job (money is really very low at the moment, and I want to be working by my birthday). Do more bike riding. Go walking. Make more website and blog changes. Go to the Cinema more often! There are loads of great films out there! Be happy and strong!

Miles Walked:

On walks for walking's sake rather than walking into town the shops or any such shit. Starting with the 30 miles to Ely and back on the 14th of September 2004.
